Pieter Skein
Pieter Skein obtained his BProc degree from the University of the Free State, where after he joined Naudes Attorneys as a candidate attorney. He was admitted as an attorney in 1997 and appointed as a director in 2000.
In 2008 he obtained an advanced certificate in Labour Law (Cum Laude) from the UFS.
Naudes Attorneys transformed and re-branded their name to Phatshoane Henney Attorneys.
After 20 years of which 13 as director, Pieter took the brave step and started his own firm on 1 September 2015.
As a respected attorney with integrity, Pieter has been serving his clients with distinction.
He specializes in High Court Litigation, RAF Matters and Supreme Court of Appeal (Appeals and Applications for Leave to Appeal).
Catherine Jane Grobler
Catherine was born in Port Elizabeth and matriculated in 2006, with distinction. She obtained her LLB degree from the Nelson Mandela University in 2010, being one of six students to receive her LLB Degree cum laude.
Her other achievements include being awarded the Joubert Galpin Searle overall achiever award in her third year of studies and being chosen to represent the University at the All African Moot Court competition held in Lagos, Nigeria as well as the International Moot Court competition held in Pretoria.
Catherine is an admitted Attorney with right of appearance in the high court, a Notary Public and Conveyancer.
Catherine practises in the fields of civil litigation, labour law, family law, conveyancing and other property related matters.
Anna-Marie De Beer
Anna-Marie (Riekie) has been involved in the administration of deceased estates and Trusts since 1994. Under the guidance of experienced attorneys at 2 major firms of Attorneys in Bloemfontein, she was schooled in the administration of Deceased Estates, Trusts, Insolvent Estates and the administration of Estates under Curatorship for a period of 9 years. She was appointed as a Senior Independent Estate Administrator at FNB Trust in 2003 and joined Sanlam Trust in 2008 where she was charged with the opening and running of a Deceased Estates Department in Bloemfontein.
In 2014 Riekie said farewell to the corporate world and branched out on her own. She joined our staff in 2021 where she is involved in the drawing up of Wills and the administration of Estates.
Lize Le Riche
Lize grew up on a farm in the Free State District and matriculated in 2015, with distinction. She obtained her LL B degree in 2020 from the North West University Potchefstroom and was part of the Golden Key Honour Society. Lize completed her articles in Bloemfontein, and was admitted as an Attorney where after she became part of the team at Pieter Skein Attorneys in 2022. She is passionate about ensuring that her clients’ best interests are adhered to and enjoys litigating in Civil and family matters in both the High Court and Magistrates Court.
Teneal van Deventer
Teneal obtained her LLB degree from the University of the Free State in 2021.
She did her thesis on criminal procedure focusing on ‘The shackling of an accused in court’.
During her studies at UFS she was elected as RC Culture and later-on Primaria of her residence. She served her residence on various levels.
Teneal started as a candidate attorney while completing her degree. She is a hardworking, dedicated and committed worker with a passion for the law.
